Research in Household & Health Economics investigates consumption behavior in areas that include food, energy, alcohol and drugs, and personal finance. Faculty have analyzed food insecurity and the impact of food assistance programs, how consumers use information in food choice decisions, consumer investments in energy efficiency and the effectiveness of energy conservation policies, and a range of issues related to poverty, financial education and decision-making, and financial stability.
